Ok I see. He sheared it but didn’t get to the point where the faces crissed-cross. And after that he manipulated them further, taking them apart and stuff. So yes, avoid that type of behavior in your geometry. Don’t worry about making mistakes when you’re beginning, doing them over and over is how I learned what I had to avoid and what didn’t work and why. Also don’t be afraid to keep asking questions. You’re making good progress with modeling the gun, keep on working.
