What I told you.
There is a difference between the Base Color of a Material and the way it looks when lit.
The (Base) Color is what colors of the light are being reflected of the Surface. Here’s a fun one, a pure blue Cube, lit only by a pure red light:

The other parts of the (Principled or other) Shader tell how light is being reflected.
The behavior of light is complicated…luckily, you don’t have to learn all about it to make beautiful renders.
