📢 Announcement #5: Conceptualizing the Final Animation

Over the past couple weeks the team leaders discussed an idea for giving context to the final animation for our Spice Vendor’s House. I’ve said generally I want to string together a sequence of slow-moving “hero” shots of everything in the environment. That’s the best way to show off a scene like this but it also risks being boring and shallow.

So we had the idea for the Spice Vendor to narrate over this sequence like he’s away on his travels reminiscing about his beloved home. In theory this narration of memories and musings will give meaningful reason to show off every nook and cranny of the scene; not only because we made it and it looks cool.

@dostovel took this idea and wrote a script and @phoenix4690 recorded a narration demo. Honestly…it blew me away. Gave me chills the whole! My eyes even moistened!! So to share this initial demo with everyone I added a simple flythrough of the scene to give a basic idea of what the final could look like. Check it out!

I’m still in shock over how well this narration *demo* turned out! The final animation will look much better than this fly-through; it’ll be separate polished shots instead of one long shot. The main point of this demo is the VIBE and I couldn’t be happier with it.
