@kocher Nice job this week, Mark! Kudos on branching out from modeling only and into texturing / lighting / rendering. Heh the floor texture looked familiar right away. And I’ll give the same note I gave to Jere: I can’t say that I’ve seen many (or any actually) 100% matte floor finishes. Almost always they’re polyurethaned and have reflections as a result. Currently the floor’s lack of reflection flattens the scene and diminishes its dimensionality. I highly recommend adding some subtle glossy reflections with the image texture contributing bump to it as well.
Also +1 to the baseboard note.
Overall though it’s a solid render. It’s an A in my book 👏
