Week 1 Homework Submission

Week 1 was a nightmare. Even though I was able to spend anywhere from 30 – 70 minutes inside Blender, I wasn’t able to really get focused on the assignment until Saturday afternoon, then worked on it all night. (It’s 2:15am currently)

Anyways, I’m not quite sure how this forum software works, so let’s see if this works.

There are some screencaps from inside Blender. And here is a render using Cycles:

On to the next one, which I hope real life will let me be for a while so I can work on homework more. 🙂

Thank you for giving us a close up of the sticks. I was scratching my head wondering why you might have pins lining the path, then BAM, it’s Suzanne on a stick – kinda like a headhunter scene. Love it.

OH WE OH…. follow the yel… well, so it’s not yellow… follow the monkey lined road. lol

It looks an ancient road made by a civilisation or something like this ^^
Maybe this temple is here to pray suzanne? Who knows ? x)

Nice! Something to think about: everything is a bit blue, and maybe that was your intention, but I feel like if you had the building as a warm color to contrast against all the blue, it would be a nice focal point. Just something to think about.

@curtisrhoads no worries, quite familiar feeling 😀 Sometimes that is natural anyway, that feeling the progress and learning, but somehow it would not like to manifest in the submission. Great to see your commitment

You’d be very surprised how even a somewhat simple assignment like this can be a vampire for your time, but even with that pressure you did good! I especially like the Suzanne heads, though thinking about it that’s pretty creepy haha.

@curtisrhoads You posted homework perfectly, Curtis 👌 And you crushed the homework assignment! I enjoy the Taj Mahal – Suzanne Mahal if you will. You’ve earned an A from me.

I can relate to the feeling of committing time to a project but inspiration and focus lags behind. Kudos for powering through and making it happen 👊

Week 2 Homework

A day late (and maybe a dollar short)… but I got it done!

Decided to model the ship from an animation that I want to work on. I don’t think it’s actually finished (is anything ever really finished?), but here it is!

Not the best, but it is what it is.
