(This is for the ‘Designing Realistic Character’ course. I’ve used a different photo set than the one supplied in the course.)
Very basic blockout with a little bit of sculpting done. I wasn’t home yesterday, planned on doing more today but procrastinated on this one. For the first time ever I’ve been really consistent, being active in Blender every single day for about 5 months now. Besides just general art skills, one of the things I’ve really been working on is to stop worrying about stuff being perfect and more just working on enjoying the process and being consistent. I’ve had a lot of fun making some of the projects so far, but I did find myself putting off the more scary things, like anatomy. Finally spent about a little over an hour (before I go to sleep) experimenting with various ways to get a good base mesh going, which I’m pretty happy with. My goal for tomorrow is to just to enjoy myself and spend a couple of hours sculpting! The original course was a workshop format, divided into several weeks. I’ve decided to follow the same deadlines as the workshop, so a week for each ‘step’. I guess I’m making good time if I keep that in mind ^_^
