There’s honestly only two things I can think of:
1: Did you accidentally add a crease? Select all the verts in that line and hit Shift + E, then you can slide it. I don’t think it’s that though because there’s usually a pink/red line to indicate how strong it is.
2: Are there any excess verts? Go into edit mode and hit Alt + H and have a looksie.
Other than that I honestly have no idea, that’s bizarre.
