I’m a little disappointed in my results this week because I know I can (and have) done better. The curtains, in particular, really gave me trouble and when I started unwrapping to get the wood textures to go the right way.. it was a nightmare. A prime example of where good geometry makes the job so much easier.

Still, It’s not all bad and I have been a little under the weather the last couple of days.

(BTW, the stripes and the patterns on the curtain… all procedural.)

For the light match exercise… One thing I’ve struggled with is getting the light fall off correct. I think I’m learning that a larger lamp really close with a low strength with have a sharper fall off and a larger, stronger lamp will have sharper shadows and cast them further. For this week’s, I used this Low poly deer by Lennart Fogh on Artstation:
