Cool design! I read her backstory and I can tell by the design that she’s good with magic, but I can’t see her as a sword fighter. Maybe you could give her magic armor? Pieces of semi-transparent armor that float over critical body parts. It will reinforce with the idea that she’s good with magic and can stand on her own at melee range. Regarding the high heels, there’s a reason women take them off for dancing 😛
