You have to manually save it. If it’s a render and you want to save it as an image, then go to Image and Save As:
And select and file type:
If it’s an animation, and you’re saving it as a image sequence, then you have to specify the output and file type. And when you render the animation, all your images will be saved in the folder you point it to:
