Actually I think it was immediately before you did the x-axis scale in that screenshot. The cylinder had to be scaled up so that the edges were aligned close to the outside of the planks rather than the inside of the planks. Without that I had to increase the band thickness too much. The bands would have poked through the inside of the lid. Hope that makes sense.
Anyway, snapping wasn’t strictly necessary. Just eyeballing it worked ok.
