If you are having to reset the length twice, just make sure you are going in the correct order. You need to start at the top, and going down the hierarchy.
If you go in the wrong order, it will reset to the incorrect values.
But it sounds like you are making some mistakes excellent learning moments because you struggled and overcame the issues!
(that is actually great learning – I’m being serious, there is brain science that proves this)
