I’m not sure how Grant does it in the tutorial, or if the sounds are allowed to be included for legal reasons (I will need to ask someone). But if you want to get sound into your blend file, just open up a video sequence editor window (VSE)
and then just drag the audio into there.
You can then position it with G, and if you want to see the wave form, open the properties panel on the right with the N key.
I hope that’s enough info for you to figure it out.
