I think @tbrbn hit the nail on the head – we certainly wouldn’t mind, but if whoever is reviewing the applications recognizes it then they’ll think less highly of your portfolio. My suggestion is to take those courses and make something similar, but not identical. Try taking that pilot and giving him different clothes, haircut, make him into a female character, or anything to make him unique and not so recognizable.
