That’s pretty nice for a first shot. It seems your facing beginners issue wich let me very impressed by what you’ve outputed so far.
What I’m the most impressed of it that, you’ve taken the tutorial to make your own character and this is exactly what it is meant to be.

concerning rigging, I’m recording a big rigging tutorial that will cover your needs for sure. But you’ll have to be patient.
May I advise Nathan Vegdhal human rigging course for blender. One of the best ever done and still relevent.
