Hi Redrum, 

the instructors at CG Cookie are working hard to replace all old fundamental courses with new ones, but since there are only a few of them and recording takes a while (up to a couple of month, especially for big courses like the mesh modeling bootcamp), we have to be patient and give them some time to catch up 😊

In the meanwhile, since you are an absolute beginner and are struggling with theUI changes, I recommend trying some of the Blender 2.8 courses. They are beginner friendly and take away that extra frustration of the UI and shortcut changes.

Some I recommend on CG Cookie:

• Modeling a low poly rocket
• Modeling and texturing a treasure chest

There are also some great free beginner courses on YouTube:

• CG Boost – Apple scene
