It’s a professional and relatively expensive shoot – actors, locations, make-up, props, catering and crew. This IS NOT a solo project. If you want to direct then you don’t need the technical hands on VFX skills you think you need. Honestly, if you want to be involved with something like that you’re better off trying to get a job as a runner in a film or VFX company while developing an achievable skillset in parallel. It’s probably not what you want to hear, or perhaps have even considered, but a more fundamental design skillset with a scripting/production background is what will get you closer to working on/making something like this
