I run into this same issue a lot. ChatGPT, and really any LLM I’ve tried, has not been very good at answering my Blender-related questions
However, Claude Desktop released a connector (literally today 4/28/2026) that links Blender directly to Claude, so that may end up being helpful. I’m still starting to test it out, but so far it feels promising. It uses the Blender MCP extension to pull information from your open Blender scene, which allows Claude to answer questions using actual information that is relevant to the scene you’re working on.
