I’m not 100% sure about your issue but it is possible that both the objects are sharing the same animation data?
(I think that is the cause)
You can learn all about that in the Fundamentals of Animation course
You will most likely find the information you are looking for in Chapter 4 and 5 (but it’s good to know all the other stuff too)
