Hi there!
The armature stand you’re referring to is a very old one. It consists of more parts and is not quite as sophisticated as the one I showed in the how-to video.

Generally though, if you’ve internalized what the armature stand is supposed to do you should be able to find something in the hardware store with which you will be able to build an armature stand.
Just make sure it is stable enough to hold the size of sculpture you intend to sculpt!
