Thanks for providing your .blend file. It doesn’t appear that you’ve done anything “wrong” yet..at least not different from what I did in the course. Have you watched the next lesson to see how to employ sharing and smart repetition?
In that video you will see that I detailed 3 unique planks for the lids cylindrical form. Once I have those modeled it’s simply a matter of duplicating (linked) to fill out the rest of the arc.
