1. go to to file
2. go to user preferences
3. click on the input tab
4. on the left hand side under the preset drop down menu there should be a thing that says emulate 3 button mouse
click on that.
save user settings if you would like
Then ctrl and alt plus left click zooms in
alt and left click turns the view
