Hey @arsenhere ,
I’m not sure what is going wrong for you,
make sure you have the armature selected then shift select the NurbsCurve,
tab into edit mode, and only select the three points of the bottom handle, you may have the top handle selected also.
press ALT+A to deselect everything, then select only the three points needed.
Also,
make sure from the CTRL+H menu select ‘Hook to Selected Object Bone‘,
this may not be the bottom option in a different version of Blender.
