    No, it doesn’t have to be a white backdrop like my example in the video. It just has to be whatever is furthers back in your 3D scene. As in if I added the backdrop layer after the objects, then the objects wouldn’t be seen in the final composition.

    So the layers need to be reconstructed from back to front.
