I have spent about 30 minutes trying to create the process over and over again. I found something that may work, but it’s not perfect. Seems to work in ortho or perspective. Place in an object, rotate the object, then draw in the grease pen, then grease cut. following those exact steps seem to make the GP_layer result in an actual separation as opposed to just selecting/creating a line through the object..
