I agree and do understand your decision to not using paid products in your tutorials. However, I think that hinting some paid products could be an optional solution for your viewers, if those products speed up the workflow and if they’re not expensive at all.
If I did understand the description of the Shotpacker addon on it’s Gumraod page correctly then it seems like there is a version for 2.8 but I’m not really sure. I also think that UV Packmaster 2 Pro offers much more options for only $6 more ^^ And if I had to decide between those two addons then I would probably choose UVP 2.
However, I want to finish watching your course first before I’m going to decide to pay for any of those tools ^^
