I first started digital art using a mouse and I am loving a tablet way more. There is more control and freedom in your strokes and for me it just feels more natural. That being said, if you still want to use a mouse, just get used to working on blending a lot more than you would with a tablet with pen pressure. It is possible but it just takes more work. The technique is relatively the same. Good luck with your work!
