Feeling overwhelmed is completely normal, nothing to worry about, some things just don’t click immediately. Don’t think you’ll need to understand absolutely everything, before you can go on. The understanding comes with time.
And I am pretty sure, that that issue with the Vertex Group was not a bug, although I still don’t know what was happening exactly, that caused it….🤔
