    Wow @adrian2301,

that’s a massive feedback and it’s helpful. Thanks a lot.

…but are you using any reference images or concept art?

Yes, I’m using reference images. I’m looking at a lot of pictures of orcs from Lord of the Rings, since they assemble the look I am going for.

Firstly the ears, these are unique ears, …

The ears aren’t as unique as one might think, I guess 😀

For the interior of the ear, I also looked at @thesculptress Orc Ear Study and tried to get some information for me.

Although I would say the ear lobe and the lower edge look a little thin.

For the ear lobe and the lower edge, I will fiddle around a little to see if I can improve the overall look by making it thicker, thanks for this suggestion.

The eyes, I would suggest study some eyes in reference images and include in that study the eyebrows, the cheek bone. Notice on a male the eyebrows (the hairy part) is not what is defined, its actually the shape of the skull. The eyelids should be a little more fleshed out.

Your suggestion for the eyes are very helpful. I’ll try to make them more fleshy and also sketch some eyebrows to see if this forwards me.

The point being, things may not look entirely perfect until you put some hair on it,

Hair seems to be a little problem right here. I was thinking of a nearly bald look (like the orc in the picture), but I’ll go and put some hair on him to check if the overall look is consistent.

This really helped me a lot Adrian, feels like I can’t say thank you often enough.
I’m also very excited about his new course, can’t wait 😀

    Regards,
