@smurfmier1985 the way I’ve heard it, the developers eventually plan to add “background image planes” as a special object in the Add menu, and my understanding is they will be set up to only appear in the appropriate orthographic views and all that. But I don’t know the ETA on when that will be added, so for now that procedure you found will have to be how it’s done.
