Thanks to both Martin and Omar for your replies – very much appreciated. Oddly, when adding the same detail to further knobs it worked fine, so possibly I missed something earlier. I also discovered that when creating the knobs, it’s necessary to apply the scale transform first otherwise the inset faces vary in size and shape in each row.
