I can imagine you being stumped…and to be honest, I am not sure what exactly happens here, but, if you change the Color Attribute Domain like this:

and maybe switch between Rendered and Solid Mode, to ‘refresh’, it looks like it’s working…

Love the Head, by the way! That’s already looking fantastic!
