Your sculpture turned out great! I agree with Shawn that some additional sharpness to the stone’s carve could benefit the rocky-feel:
The scrape brush is especially effective for these sharp, scalloped shapes. Additionally scraping up the edges on each side of the cracks pushes it toward a rockier look as well.
One idea I want to offer is intelligently duplicating only 2 pieces to create the whole set of stairs:
Keith did this for his stairs and it works really well. Best way to get maximum result for minimal input.
