Someday (no idea when) I’d like to have a go at learning how to make addons. I feel like a simple addon that adapts the F2 shortcut to rename something could also be made so that it gives you the extra option to select which collection to put it into – or to create a new one. Mind you, there already is the shortcut to move something to a collection.
But I’m thinking this addition could almost act as a prompt, or a reminder that it’s important to keep your apartment tidy so you can find the tv remote when you need it.
To be fair, I could probably create a pie menu that has Rename, Move to Collection, and other organisation things in it (I recall seeing something somewhere about an addon that allows you to make custom pie menus)
