Ah, so your using a modern Blender: that shouldn’t matter, if you’re comfortable with that.
But I am missing most of your Settings (you only show that you are using View Plane, but we already knew that 😉
Seriously though; I have no idea what could be causing that.
Maybe you can post a link to your .blend file here (via GoogleDrive, Dropbox, or so), then we can do some troubleshooting…it might be something simple, but I don’t know how to reproduce it…(maybe a more experienced Blender sculptor knows…)
