If you select 4 vertices and hit F to create the face, those you point out as extra faces are ok, it’s how it goes, they will become part of the loop. It’s weird to communicate via text and screenshots, can you make a screengrab video, so we can easily see what you mean? From the screenshots doesn’t look like anything is wrong.
