The rigging course is an excellent course. Check out the full Animation in Blender learning flow for more great courses.
Although the version of Blender is older the principles are still relevant, and if you get stuck just ask a question and someone will help you out.
Or you can go to Blenders Previous Versions page and download the version in the tutorial.
I heard on the grapevine @waylow is working on a updated course, but a lot of work goes into production.
