I’m also a perfectionist I think, not to the point of diminishing returns, but I like my meshes to always be clean, just in case I have to go back to them after a while or if I have to share them they are always presentable and easy to manage if I have to change something down the line. I don’t tend to use booleans, since they are so dirty and destructive, but when I do, I immediately apply them and go in to clean whatever the mess came out of it.
