I don’t know what OS you’re using, but windows 11’s 24h2 update is known to cause a lot of software to freeze and crash. Some games and Chinese tax software cause blue screen crashes. Try running blender from command line to see the error message. Also there should be a crash text file in the OS’s temporary files folder. You may need to report it or add to an existing report.
