I agree with Martin, start over from the very beginning. It’s the best way to get the hang of things. It may sounds counter-intuitive, but so was the sun not orbiting around the earth, look how that turned out. In most cases it’s easier and faster to start a model over than to fix what’s broken, you’ll gain speed and a six sense of placement of the vertices.
