I have to agree,
A Desktop will give you far more power for your money, and believe me, working in 3d you’re gonna need it.
There are somethings a laptop just can’t handle.
Unless you can afford a top of the range mac book pro (Four thousand UK pounds). But remember, upgrading components a few years down the line is not really an option.
