@fide Sorry for the belated grade. Your custom sword design turned out great! I like that it’s clearly inspired by the illustrations you posted at the start but it’s still a unique design in the end. Completing the treasure chest and the sword as well you have earns you an A+ in my book.

I only have 2 notes to offer:

    • The handle appears notably more simple compared to the dragon-skull cross guard and complex blade. It makes the handle look under-developed to me. A leather grip wrap would help I think.
    • There’s another thing that’s kinda hard to put my finger on. The artwork you posted has a definitive organic feel to the blades. I don’t mean soft but at least a hand-made, nature-forged quality to them. And I see that theme in your sword as well, especially with the dragon skull crossguard. However a significant portion of the blade has a sci-fi hard surface feel to it (the area circled pink in the image below). I think it’s the holes cut out in the blade and the left edge. Those in particular have a rigid straightness to them where the dragon skull and the right side of the blade with the dings have a more organic feel.
Personally I find the two themes fighting each other in the design. I’d recommend maybe de-straightening the hole cutouts, possibly bevel them unevenly as well. Then add the same dents and dings from the right side to the left.
