    Hi Harris,

I don’t know of any YT videos where animator’s talk through what they are doing while they are doing it. But that kind of thing is what you will a lot of in animation school.

For example – at iAnimate, Jason Ryan does a 2 hour demo every week where he does just that.

Animation school is something I think you should think about 😉

In the meantime, if you wanted to learn about workflow, try the Body Mechanics and Animation Workflow course. It’s a younger version of me but the content is still very much valid. There are some quicker ways of doing things inside Blender these days but the actual animation workflow is exactly the same and hasn’t changed since it was developed in the 1920s.

    -Plan

    -Block

    -Spline

    -Polish

(although the ‘spline’ part is a computer animation term….it used to be ‘in-between’ but it’s the same thing)

Once you understand workflow, then there are the little tricks you can pick up from everywhere that you can use to get you to one of the goals faster in specific circumstances.

Like “oh I can copy and paste that animation and create overlapping action – great idea” etc.

Also once you understand workflow you can also look into other techniques like space switching.

(Pierrick Piccaut has many videos about this)

    I hope that helps.
