I’m on macOS, using Apple’s wireless mouse; I didn’t realize it, but I must’ve enabled the “Emulate 3-Button Mouse” during the Blender Basics course, because I did not think I had it active, but I most certainly do. haha.
Anyway, it was set to “Alt” and I’ve been double-clicking up to this point to achieve this effect; I experimented with each of the selections and the associated hotkeys and had different results for each option, so I guess it’s a situation where you play with each of the options and choose the one that is the most intuitive for you.
