Yes, you can make them in any application. Lots of people use Photoshop o any of the other free alternatives. With places like Superhive or Texture Heaven or software like Substance Painter, I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve seen someone make their own brush, today people just buy a pack or download them from somewhere. But yeah, in short you can create your own. I remember Kent did it in the Piero course long ago. I think Paul does it in his Grease Pencil courses here on CG Cookie.
