Great modeling!
Looks like the back is from a different style period, maybe it broke after 80 years and they replaced it. Like you often see with cathedrals where a part burned down or got destroyed by bombs and they rebuilt it in a different period. It does look a bit uncomforatble, but that’s not uncommon with ‘designer’ furniture😊
