New to CGcookie here. These are some of my recent works to start, that are more character focused. I looked at a few of the other Sketchbook threads, so I think I got the idea. In any case. I’m hoping t o really show my progress over time. As well as post more of my studies and ideas, as compared to more finished or thoughtful posts that I might do on Instagram.
It’s been hard realizing I have to go back to basics and practice, practice, practice. After having gone through fundamentals training a few years ago during art school, I feel like I’m almost starting over in a lot of ways, or I should be able to pick up and improve these skills right away. But that’s just not the case. My work, and all my time, has been dedicated to graphic and web design, and that’s very different. I’m starting at a lower rung on the ladder than the expectations I set for myself, so i need to even those out and keep going forward.
