While this issue is one that has been around for a little while, do keep an eye out this year for the LTS version of Blender – 4.2LTS – As it is rumored to ship with Grease Pencil 3.0. This will offer some big under-the-hood improvements to the whole user experience. Everything in the course will still be relevant of course, and they’re not overhauling things which will change how you do things – however I’ve heard of some improvements such as groups for layers will be included – this is AWESOME. If you’re going to eventually try a later release, the LTS releases are usually the most stable.
