      Hello!

When I do the cloth sim for the bell of the jellyfish, the cloth doesn’t wrap around the collision object like it should, it almost seems like the cloth is made of something incredibly stiff, or like there’s a force blowing it up and keeping it from settling around the collision object.  Can you help me with what may be going on here and how to fix it?

I have attached a picture of where the cloth is when it comes to rest.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

The problem was not enough geometry on the bell.   An extra level of subsurf fixed it.

Thanks for following up with the solution! No doubt others will have a similar experience.

I tried that and got this:

The waves are way too thin.  What do I do?

I’ve tried everything I can, but nothing works.

I was having the same problem. I found that altering the stickiness of the collision object to around 0.5 and the vertex mass and air viscosity of the cloth to 1kg/6.3ish (respectively) helped.
