It looks like the AI tag was added in 2017. Tags are used to help in the search, with no official AI category on CG Cookie.
Similar to what Adrian and Omar mentioned, as a Blender site, I encourage renders in the Gallery to be that from Blender. Recognizing it’s part of a workflow where other software may be involved. If you used AI to help generate the idea, feel free to tag it. Happy Blending!
